Social Skills Coaching

Therapists at the Center for Social Success offer adult social skills coaching on an individual basis.  We teach specific social skills through traditional talk therapy and practice performing the skills through role-modeling and role-playing. Topics include: friendship making, family conflict resolution, job interactions, adapting to new environments, interpreting social cues, managing anger, feeling comfortable at parties, meeting new neighbors, joining in, and pursuing personal interests.

Good social skills do not just consist of greetings and goodbyes.  Social skills more globally include emotional control, ability to assert yourself in respectful ways, taking personal responsibility, respecting differences, reading other’s body language, conversation skills, and showing interest in others.  We can help you be more successful in your interactions with family, friends, and co-workers and will tailor our training to meet your specific needs.
