Dr. Susan Istre, LPC-S, BCPC (view full curriculum vitae) has a Ph.D. in Family Relations and Child Development from Oklahoma State University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Supervisor for LPC Interns (LPC-S), and is Board Certified in Professional Counseling (BCPC). Dr. Istre has over 40 years of experience working with children and families.
As the director of the Center For Social Success, Dr. Susan Istre leads a team of licensed therapists who are highly educated and experienced. All types of therapy are provided, including individual therapy, group therapy, play therapy, marital therapy, family therapy, adolescent therapy, and biofeedback stress management.
Dr. Istre personally specializes in Social Skills Training, Bullying, Oppositional-Defiant Children, ADHD, ASD, Parent Effectiveness, Attachment Issues, Grief Counseling, Marital Enrichment, and Anger and Anxiety Management. She is frequently a keynote speaker at local and regional conferences on child and adolescent issues. Dr. Istre has also been repeatedly nominated and selected as a “Mom Approved Doctor” in the Dallas Child magazine for the last several years.
