Parent rating scales are used to determine if a child has mild to severe problems with anger, anxiety, attention, depression, oppositionality, and social skills. Our therapists work closely with other specialists to develop a comprehensive plan to address each child’s needs.

Practical advice and positive behavior plans are offered to help parents present a united front and effectively address specific behavior problems at home.

We match children by age and gender to help them learn new social skills and practice performing them during play activities. Children are individually challenged to address their own specific issues and are given awards for participation.

Children who have completed the basic course have a variety of opportunities to refine their skills by participating in playground groups, community based activities, sensory/social skills groups, and biofeedback dyads.

Children re-enact stressful events through play and are assisted to experience emotions, resolve conflicts, and regain a sense of security and control over their lives.

Parents are coached how to build a better relationship with their 2-7 year old child by learning play therapy techniques and practicing ways to more effectively get their child to mind.
